☀☼ Sun, Sea and Sand part 1☼ ☀

(Thought I'd start with a lovely photo of my mum. Sporting the Ray Bans I bought her in duty free, Aren't I an amazing daughter?!)

A once heavily stamped passport of the past has left me with WonderLustLess Syndrome [WLLS]; Symptoms include radical clutching of passport, puppy/kitten eyes, over excitement at the sun and any mention of some distant land with a sunset background and amazing local cuisine.

As a child I travelled a lot, my passport was full of stamps from my adventures, but when I had to renew my passport that all changed, it's all but a barren wasteland with tumble weeds floating in the wind.

So I was ecstatic when my mother said we should go on a Pre-University holiday (yay me and everyone else who got in!)

(Drinks at the airport)

//I've been so busy with University, packing, unpacking, etcetera that I haven't really been able to keep track of myself/adventures/uni on here well, I have a lot of drafts!\\

The destination; Gran Canaria.
Located in the North Atlantic Ocean, close to the coast line of Africa (Morocco/Western Sahara)

We landed at night and then travelled about an hour or so to Taurito, I was so tired and hungry that I just collapsed as soon as we finally reached the hotel room.

This is the view from the room, our room was on 1 of the highest floors in the hotel.

Hotel view from the first pool

For the first day we spent it looking around the area. We didn't do anything to exciting. Lounging by the pool, as I wanted a tan!
I explored the hotel a bit and found the adults only pool. ;D Which later became clear that to get deck chairs at the AOP you had to be up really early to claim.

Brum Adventures!

Summer vacation has started for so many students in the UK, but due to working a lot of hours and working late, hasn't left me with much chances to just relax and take it easy.

(Aléxis. He looks so cute with that stasche)

A few days before going to Birmingham, I visited a friend who just had a baby boy. He is so cute and so very tiny. His sleeping poses are just so bad ass, he is going to break a lot of young girls hearts!

So on Wednesday after finishing work, I packed up and headed on over to Birmingham, where I took another train out to stay with my lovely hostess.

(I was both in Awe of the size and era/design of the house. But at the same time I was a little spooked)

The house was amazing, it was so large, so spacious. I loved the Victorian style of the house. Though I did get a bit spooked out though and it didn't help when her house mates returned and thought it would be hilarious to scare me to death. It didn't also help that I have watched Horror films/Thrillers where the house looks exactly like this one. Thus my mind conjured up all kinds of horrible things. I wanted to run from the house as fast as I could. Unfortunately for them, I went on a slasher rampage (after figuring out it was a prank).
(view of the back garden)

Most of the time was spent sitting in the back garden, soaking up the sun, gossiping and catching up.

New dress from a fb seller but originally from Dream V
(My friends house mate)

On the last day, I really wanted to go to the Bullring to do some shopping but mostly to drink so cold, refreshing bubble tea. So the lovely Kass ventured with me to New Street. I then took her to get bobo tea, which she got addicted to. I have never seen anyone that excited about it (other then myself). She was rushing me to go back to get another one before the stall closed and she even left me in the store to go get it as I was taking to long.

Well...I kind of indulged. As we made our way towards SCHUH, we walked passed GAME. We both are gamers, her more then me. So it was hard to just walk past GAME. We ended up giving in and I left with the 3DSXL, Animal cross edition. As you may or may not know I absolutely love white apparel/electronics, so this 3DS made my heart skip a beat. I really wanted to play Animal crossing when I first found out about the new release of the game (I have the game on my DS Lite). Then the console got released and that was it! White and has cute Animal crossing motif! Unfortunately for me, I am super conservative about my money from being a poor student and it wasn't really on my mental list of 'to buys', thus it is still in the box unopened (also I found it cheaper on the GAME website! *@£$!). (Really want to play the new Harvest Moon games so...MENTAL DILEMA)

So upon finally arriving into SCHUH, they were having a SALE! I absolutely love sale shopping. Though I seem to have a habit of falling in love with things outside of the sale.

One thing I really felt in the past that didn't suit me was high tops, but I have always wanted a pair. So I decided I would have one more go with finding a pair that suited me. I fell in love with the DC high tops. I like the contrast of the black against the girly bright floral pattern. I felt really bad ass wearing them.
Do you ever buy something and it makes you feel a certain way and you emit a different persona? For example that statement dress makes you feel classy and refined, thus causing that sexy walk as you make your way down the street? That's what I am like with my apparel. I was literally swaggering around the store, I wanted to hope on a skate board and go wild. I felt edgy but girly. People tell me I should have became an actress, well it's never to late! (Ha)

I also picked up the pastel blue chunky heels, which happened to be in the sale! (score) I love the delicateness of the colour and the structure of the shoes. After taking them home and trying them on with other things (around the house of course!), I realised how quickly the white wouldn't stay white. So I took them back. I wasn't particularly in love with the shoes themselves, so it wasn't that hard to take them back. But I will definitely keep my eyes peel for some pastel shoes.

I have some ebay/facebook buys, but I will leave that for another time as this post has become long. So long for now.

Adventure time

So on wednesday I journeyed to London to have a look at my accommodation, as well as have a day wandering around london. I was supposed to meet someone in London but she stood me up and I couldn't contact her at all. Fortunately for me, my good friend and brother came to my rescue.

This is where I will be spending my first year of university. It was larger then I had expected it to be, which pleasantly surprised me. It was spacious and had a very nice design wardrobe, lots of compartments for clothes. The bed is bigger then a single bed, which will be nice a roomy, as at the moment I have a single bed.
I can't wait to move in and decorate it.

The kitchen area is so roomy and spacious and I will be spending a lot of time in this area as there is a flatscreen in the kind of social area, there will be a lot of just dance going on in here. I just hope to not have messy roommates.
♪~(´ε` )

Luckily for me, even before I move in I will know someone living in the same compound as me and also attending the same university and at the same campus. Unfortunately it's his last year and next year he may be going back home.

After viewing the accommodation I headed out with my bro, we rocked out to some tunes in his car while looking for a parking space and then journeyed to central london.

We spent most of the time in Troccadero, for anyone who doesn't know, Troc is a place located of off Piccadilly station where dancers meet up, practice there moves and also learn from other dancers to progress in there style.

As it is so close to China Town/Leicester square, we popped over for some lunching as we hadn't eaten all day and then went back and chilled. I met some old faces and met some new faces. I can't wait to be living in September so I can come here often.

Fly my pretty! LM; Winged sid Backpack buy.

When Vivienne Westwood first released her eco-friendly shoe brand Melissa, called "MELISSA Vivienne Westwood Anglomania Wing' during her Red Collection Spring 2010 show at London Fashion Week, I instantly fell in love. Magical shoes that will make you feel like your flying! (I have yet to be able to acquire them though)

I became obsessed with winged apparel. I stumbled across the Jeremy Scott for Adidas JS wing sneaker collection in Selfridges one day and went on a hunt for other things winged!

I came across the Lost Mannequin Winged sid Back pack;

I have been lusting for this bag for a very long time, unfortunately I have never had the money, but recently I got a job. I didn't particularly like the pink bag nor the pinkxblue one and I didn't want to buy the standard colour of black, I wanted something original and unique to me. I realised that they were made to order, so I contacted them asking if they could make a custom one for me.
They were incredible friendly and were willing to undertake my request.

I was very uncertain about how big the bag would actually be, but after having seen someone with the bag in RL, I just had to have it.
As you can see it is a good sized bag, it's able to carry a lot in it. I can get my laptop into it and still have room for more things. There is one front pocket and two side pockets on the exterior and one zip pocket, one large pocket, two small pockets, a pen holder and a key holder in the interior. Organisation freak heaven!! Love it so much!

I have a really big love for the colour white/ivory/off white. I have so many things that are this colour. I just love the pure, sleek, delicate look that the colour demonstrates.

I didn't want the bag to be completely ivory, so I broke it up by adding a turquoise colour for the threading of the wings and a turquoise drawstring. I also requested that all the latches to be black.

I really love the outcome. They customised my bag for an extra $10 on top of the original price, so overall the bag was $60. The shipping varies for each country but to the United Kingdom is was $51. It was an expensive buy but worth it.

Lost Mannequin has been around since 2008 and is owned by two sisters, Freda and Titha, who I hope I was talking to when ordering my bag.

If you want to own one of these bags or view there other bags then go to Lost Mannequin website.
